I Just Aerated My Lawn!

Cicadas are everywhere where I live.  Below is a picture of the holes Brood II made when they emerged from the ground.  Based on some non-statistical work, the property I live on has about a quarter million per acre.  The best part, I didn’t have to pay a dime.

IMG_0146Seems like they enjoy climbing this birch tree.  These are just the ones left over from the kids picking them off to play with.
